In the last 3 years, since my knowledge of technology has began to build up, I have been doing home recordings for many different people:
If you send me a logic file of your production I can lay a solo/written part over the top for you, I will record various takes and you can choose your favourite. I use a DPA 4099 clip on mic on my saxophones and a macbook pro running Logic 8.
